HIGH SCHOOL HOLIDAY CONCERT
We are excited to share that our high school band students will be performing for our students this year on November 19. They will be performing live for our 5th grade students ONLY while our other grades are able to tune in from their classrooms while it is streamed live. Our band will be marching to their busses upon departure where all students can join in listening to them outside.

i-READY MATH
i-Ready Math is an online program used by our elementary buildings for grades 3-5 that will help your child work on math activities at their level. i-Ready Personalized Instruction provides students with lessons based on their individual skill level and needs. These lessons are fun and interactive to keep your student engaged as they learn. Students follow the activities in their i-Ready “My Path” as those are activities assigned to them as a result of their i-Ready diagnostic test. This is a great program to have your child work in at home if you have a home device and an internet connection. Students access iReady through a program called Clever. They use their email address and password to log into Clever. They have the iReady app to click on once logged into Clever. Please contact your child’s teacher if you need assistance with login information.

TITLE I PARENT MEETING
We are holding our Title I/grant-funded programming parent meeting virtually once again this year dueto our current safety restrictions as well as due to the success we saw last year sharing it in this manner. We hope the information provided proves valuable. Parents may view the video to learn how our building uses our federal and state grant funds to support student learning. If there are any questions following, please feel free to reach out to our school’s office to ask! You can reach our office at 616-784-0884 or connect with the building principal, Jason Snyder, via email at jsnyder@khps.org.

Please take a moment to view the video linked below and complete the following survey to verify you have watched it. In doing so, you are helping us to meet one of our state/federal requirements. Thank you in advance for your time.

Feeding Walker Kids is a FREE weekend lunch program offered during the school year. Please contact your child's teacher or the main office for an application.

SPIRIT WEAR
If you would like to purchase Kenowa Gear, you may visit www.khps.org and scroll down under the parent resource tab to the spirit store. You may also find the link here, https://apparelnow.com/kenowa-... TO STAY PROTOCOL
Please help your child understand the need to wear masks when inside. It is important for overall health but also a factor considered when determining close contacts and being able to provide students with an opportunity to remain IN PERSON if they are considered a close contact. Please keep in mind that if parents decide that their child takes advantage of our “Test to Stay” option when considered a close contact, students must be capable and diligent about wearing a mask at all times.

STUDENT DROP OFF AND PICK UP
As the weather turns colder or there is rain or snow, there may be more students who simply walk to and from their cars at drop off and pick up. Please continue to drive slowly through our visitor lot loop and be watchful for students crossing the roadway.

REDEFINED

Our Personal Mastery educational experience has redefined education and has gained attention around the state and nation. Personal Mastery provides your child with personalized attention from teachers. Instead of teaching to a broad group of students without understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses, Personal Mastery allows teachers to interact with students individually or in small groups to help them better address their weaknesses. In this way, we strive to help your child reach their full potential.
