ATTENTION VIRTUAL STUDENTS:

DEADLINE TO SWITCH FROM VIRTUAL TO FACE-TO-FACE, 11/6/2020

As we move closer to the 2nd Trimester, you once again have the opportunity to decide whether you want to have your child continue to attend our 100% Online Learning Academy for 2nd Trimester, or whether you want to change your child to face-to-face learning. If you choose to stay in the Online Learning Academy, then your child will be enrolled in our KH Online Learning Academy until the end of Trimester 2, February 12. Please contact your child's teacher regarding your choice and they'll forward you a form to be completed. This form is due by 11/6/20.

If you have any questions or need any clarification before choosing Face-to-face or the KH Online Learning Academy, please contact your building administrator or Cindy Ruscett, Director of K-5 Online Learning Academy at (616) 784-2511 Ext. 2252.

Alpine Art

We will be displaying all student artwork on Artsonia this year. By adding it to Artsonia we can make a slideshow to share in class so the whole school can see all the art, or we can even add it to Facebook! Parents and family will also be able to log on and see all the art that students are working on. To be able to display the artwork on Artsonia we will need parents to log on and give permission for your child's artwork to be shown to others. You should have gotten a permission slip already. If you did not get an email, or a permission slip please send your email to Mrs. McVey at cmcvey@khps.org, with your child's name, grade and teacher's name and she/he will get the information sent to you.

If your child is one of our remote learners - Mrs. McVEY is still working on getting your child set up, and you should be getting an email within a week or two. If you have any other questions about Artsonia or the Alpine art program, you may email me at cmcvey@khps.org.

REDEFINED

Our Personal Mastery educational experience has redefined education and has gained attention around the state and nation. Personal Mastery provides your child with personalized attention from teachers. Instead of teaching to a broad group of students without understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses, Personal Mastery allows teachers to interact with students individually or in small groups to help them better address their weaknesses. In this way, we strive to help your child reach their full potential.
