Flag Lowering Ceremony: It was a terrific last day at Zinser! After our 5th grade graduation we had our annual Flag Lowering Ceremony to put closure to the school year. What a year it has been, and we couldn’t be more proud of our students for their resilience, our staff for embracing the challenges and loving on our students, and our families for their patience and continued support.
Congratulations to Eliza Buckwalter for earning the Mr. V (Vermuelen) Kids Who Care award! For those of you that are newer to the school community, Eric Vermeulen was our principal for years and brought the Kids Who Care motto to the school that has stayed with us!
Congratulations to Loren VandeKerkhoff for earning the Top Accelerated Reader Award for the third straight year! Impressive!
Congratulations to Rylee Beauvais for earning our Volunteer of the Year honor for her many years of service volunteering and leading our Family Council! We appreciate all you’ve done for us!
We are Kids Who Care!
5th Grade Graduation! Thank you to everyone who attended the graduation for our 5th grade graduates! We thank them for a superb career at Zinser, and we wish them all the best at Middle School!
Pine Rest Partnership:
Our district has partnered with Pine Rest to provide some great services to each of you. We are now a part of the Student and Employee Assistance Programs (SAP and EAP). There are many parts to this program that will be explained in detail moving forward. The services provided are available to ALL students and their families as well as ALL staff and their families. The services begin now and last through the end of the 2021-2022 school year.
Please review this webpage to learn about the free services that are provided including confidential counseling, a crisis hotline, elder care consultation, legal consultation, financial consultation and an expansive online library. Your use of these services will be completely confidential and the district will only be notified of the number of uses rather than any specifying information.
In the event you utilize a service you will need to identify yourself as a SAP member to avoid any fees. If you have any questions about what is being provided or how to access services please feel free to reach out to Ashley Anderson, our Child Behavior Specialist. Thank you!
